Information:
Sheriff Dale R. Gribler reports that deputies are investigating an incident
involving a mentally challenged female who voluntarily went missing from a
location in the City of South Haven.
Deputies received the report from a
driver for an adult foster care home stating that she had transported a
female to a substance abuse meeting in the City of South Haven. During that
meeting, the female went missing while the driver was waiting for her.
South Haven Police Department assisted deputies in searching for the missing
female, but were unable to locate her.
After speaking with staff at Beacon
Services and her guardians at ARC Services in Macomb County, deputies
believe that Ogilvie left the meeting to avoid returning to Beacon
services. It is possible that Ogilvie may try go back to the Macomb County
area where she had originally resided. Deputies entered Ogilvie into LEIN
and NCIC as a voluntary-endangered missing person and issued BOL's to all
police agencies in the Southwest MI area.
If you have any information as to Ogilvie's whereabouts, please contact the Van Buren County Sheriff's Office
at (269) 657–3101 or any law enforcement agency.
